Did you know?

The tea is named after Charles Grey (1764 – 1845), the second Earl of Grey, who was prime minister in Britain in the 1830s. It is said that Lady Grey served it to when entertaining her guests in London, and it was so popular that she was asked if it could be sold to others, which is how Twinings came to market it as a brand.
