Tiramisu is one of our absolute favorite desserts and it would be stupid to avoid it just because it is Christmas. A Tiramisu tastes best if you allow it to chill overnight and as you can chill it for up to 1 day, it’s a great make-ahead dessert recipe.
Here is our Gingerbread Tiramisu Christmas version that certainly won’t disappoint!

Recipe

You will need:

• 2 eggs
• 250g mascarpone cheese
• 3 tbsp Marsala wine, sweet
• 0.5 dl sugar
• 1 dl strong cold coffee
• Grated chocolate, 70%

Tip!

You can of course also do one big Tiramisu in a bowl.

How to:

1. Crack the eggs and separate the yolk from the egg whites.
2. Beat egg yolks, mascarpone and Marsala wine together.
3. In another bowl, beat the egg whites to a shiny and firm foam. Add a little sugar at a time to allow to dissolve.
4. Carefully turn the egg whites into the mascarpone batter.
5. Dip a gingerbread in cold coffee. Place it in the bottom of a serving glass. Cover with the mascarpone mixture and grated chocolate. Repeat but leave the grated chocolate for later.
7. Leave to cool for at least 3 hours, but preferably overnight.
8. Tear grated chocolate over top before serving and serve with chocolate dipped gingerbread.
