Make sure you fill up those little bellies with Mummy and Spiderweb pizza before they go amok on all the Halloween’s sweet treats. These pretty pizzas are perfect to prep in advance and can quickly be baked in the oven when the kids get home from their bonkers “trick or treat” tour.
Recipe
You will need:
• 1pkt ready rolled pizza dough
• Olive oil
• 1 garlic clove, sliced in thin slices
• 1 can of chopped tomatoes
• 1 tbsp honey
• Salt and pepper
• 1 tsp vinegar
• Cheese in slices
• Olives with pimentos
• Black olives
How to:
1. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the garlic and fry gently for a couple of minutes.
2. Add chopped tomatoes and honey. Bring to a boil and lower the heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes or until thickened and reduced, and season with salt, pepper, and vinegar.
3. Preheat the oven to 200° C / 390° F.
4. Cut the pizza dough into circles (for the spiderweb) and rectangles (for the mummy).
5. Cut the cheese into thin slices.
6. Cover the dough with tomato sauce.
7. Place the cheese slices in a way that it resembles spiderweb on the round pizza and a mummy on the rectangle pizza. Slice green olives mummies eyes and cut out black olives spiders for the spiderweb pizza.
8. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
