Even though everything is up side down these days, the calendar doesn’t lie (thank God for that) and Easter is approaching fast. The big Easter dinner for friends and family may not be the best idea this year, but that doesn’t need to stop us from having a small, but festive Easter dinner just for the immediate family. – And isn’t it in times like these, that we should indulge ourselves with good food and set at beautiful table?
Make it a pleasant moment and let the kids help you with these simple and nice decorations for the Easter table. Pick the flowers together, take the opportunity to learn what the flowers are called, fold sweet bunny napkins and let the them practice their dexterities by cracking the eggs for the small vases. Now’s the time for contemplation and togetherness.
Recipe
You will need:
Egg Tray Flower Vase:
- Egg tray, for 6 or 12 eggs
- Eggs, 3 or 6
- Small decoration eggs or candy eggs
- Flowers
Bunny Napkin:
- Linen napkin (plain paper napkin also work great)
- Hard boiled egg or decoration egg
- A piece of string
- Pen or small stamps
How to:
Egg Tray Flower Vase:
- Crack the eggs carefully and empty them so that you have a nice hollow vase. Rinse it clean.
- Fill them with water and distribute the flowers evenly between the egg vases.
- Place your egg flower vases in the egg tray.
- Place decorative eggs or candy eggs between the flowers in the egg tray.
Bunny Napkin:
- Write or stamp the guests’ names on the eggs (or jus write – Happy Easter)
- Roll the napkin from one corner to the other.
- Fold in the middle.
- Place the egg on the center point and tie a knot over the egg with the string, so that it looks like the ears of a bunny.
