In a time full of come togethers with family and friends, the welcome drink might be needed some update. We love this Pear and Ginger Cocktail and think it is just perfect. Topped with prosecco or champagne and with a thin slice of a pear as decoration, this cocktail becomes extra festive. So simple but very effective.
Recipe
You will need:
For the pear and ginger mixture:
• 3 ripe pears, chopped
• 2 dl water
• 1 dl sugar
• 2 tablespoons ginger, grated

For the cocktail:
• 4 cl pear and ginger mixture
• 3 cl vodka
• Juice of half of a lemon
• Splash of honey
• Prosecco or Champagne

• Pear slices for garnish
Tip!
You can use honey instead of sugar for the mixture.
How to:
Pear & ginger mixture:
- Bring chopped pears, grated ginger, sugar and water to a soft boil in a medium sauce pan.
- Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Allow to simmer for 15-20 minutes. Leave to cool.
- Strain mixture with a sieve to discard pair pieces (pressing pairs into the sieve to extract their remaining juices).
- In a shaker, combine all of the ingredient, except prosecco/champagne. Add ice and shake vigorously.
- Pour into a glass. Top with prosecco or champagne.
- Garnish with pair slice.
- Serve.
