If you’ve never tried making your own Salted Caramel Sauce, then it’s about time! So simple and it only requires only 4 ingredients!
With this sweet and salted sauce, you can make yourself a luxurious dessert in no time, just by serving it with vanilla ice cream and chopped salted almonds.

Recipe
You will need:
• 2 dl/180 g sugar
• 90 g butter, soft
• 100 ml heavy cream
• 1/2 – 1 tsp sea salt
Tip!
Pour the sauce into a mold lined with parchment paper and put the mass in the freezer for approx. 15 minutes. Take it out and cut it into small pieces and voila you have yourself the most delicious, salted caramels.
How to:
- Melt sugar over medium heat in a saucepan. Stir occasionally until the sugar turns into a golden brown and smooth mixture.
- Add butter and continue to stir until combined. It takes some time so just keep stiring.
- Let it boil for one minute without stirring.
- Slowly add heavy cream, a little at a time, while you keep stirring. Once again, stir until the sauce is smooth and fine.
- Season with sea salt.
- Remove from the heat and pour into a lidded glass jar. Allow to cool completely. (It will thicken as it cools.)
- Store it in the refrigerator. If the sauce is too thick when you want to use it, just microwave it on low heat for 1-2 minutes.
