These Yummy Mummy Dogs somehow always seem to disappear extremely fast! They are really popular, so we recommend you do as us and make a double batch to keep in the freezer – ready to be served as a quick afternoon snack or as a part of the lunchbox.

Recipe

You will need:

• 12 brunch sausages or 6 hotdog sausages

Dough:
• 25 g butter
• 250 ml milk
• 25 g yeast
• 2 tsp sugar
• A pinch of salt
• 400 g all purpose-flour

Decoration:
• Sugar eyes

For serving:
• Ketchup

Tip!

Save time and buy a ready to bake-pizza dough.

How to

1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat and add the milk.
2. Crumble the yeast in a bowl of a stand mixer.
3. Mix a little bit of the milk and butter with the yeast and make sure it’s dissolved. Add the rest of the milk and butter.
4. Add sugar, salt, and some flour.
5. Work the dough using the dough hook. Add the rest of the flour and work the dough for another 5 minutes. Add some extra flour if the dough is too sticky.
6. Let the dough rest for 1 hour.
7. Knead the dough on a floured table.
8. Roll out the dough into a rectangle (25x40cm).
9 Cut the dough into thin lines and twirl them around the sausages.
10. Brush the dough with the beaten egg and glue sugar eyes on the mummy using the beaten egg.
11. Bake in the oven for 10-12 min or until golden brown.
Serve with blood (ketchup).
